Every photo below is our own work across Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Hudson, and Morris counties — full shingle replacements, standing-seam metal and copper, slate repairs, flat roofs, the parts most people never see (decking, underlayment, flashing), and the exterior work that rounds out a project. What to look for in real roofing work
Anyone can post a glamour shot of a finished roof. The details that actually tell you whether a roof was built to last are the ones most contractors never photograph — so we do. As you scroll, here’s what each set of pictures is meant to show you, and why it matters for your home.
Completed roofsare the curb-appeal shots: clean lines, straight courses, properly aligned ridge caps, and color choices that suit the house. Look at how the shingles meet the valleys and rakes — crooked, gapped, or lifted edges there are the first place a rushed install shows its age.
Metal & copperwork is where craftsmanship really shows. Standing-seam panels and copper details — chimney crickets, custom flashing, bay and dormer wraps — have to be measured, bent, and soldered on site. These are the projects that separate a roofer from a true sheet-metal trade.
Repairs & detailscover the flashing, step-flashing, pipe boots, and chimney joints where the overwhelming majority of leaks actually start — almost never in the open field of shingles. Tight detailing here is what keeps water out for decades instead of months.
Tear-off & deckingphotos show the part of the job that gets covered up forever once the new roof goes on. Rotted plywood, failed underlayment, and missing flashing get found and replaced at this stage — or they get buried by a contractor in a hurry. We document it so you can see exactly what was under your old roof.
Flat, siding & exteriorrounds out the systems that protect a home alongside the roof — low-slope membranes, siding, gutters, and trim that all have to work together to keep the building dry.
Every project here was completed by our own crews across Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Hudson, and Morriscounties. If you’d like to talk through what your home needs, a free on-site inspection is the best place to start — no pressure, no obligation.
